Yes. United Swimming is an Active Kids and First Lap Provider. You can redeem your Active Kids or First Lap Vouchers by sending the voucher details to info@unitedswimming.com. Once processed, your voucher will be applied towards your next payment due.

2. Is there a minimum enrolment period?

Yes. Learn to Swim and Squad Enrolments have a minimum enrolment period of 10 weeks. Please refer to the Swim School Enrolment Terms and Conditions available on the United Swimming website for more information.

3. Does the pool operate the same term times as schools?

Our learn to swim lessons are run year-round, with the exception of a two week break over Christmas and the New Year period. In addition to our regular lessons, we conduct School Holiday Intensive Programs during school holiday period at selected Centre locations, where for a reduced fee, your child can receive intensive tuition each weekday. We run them 4 times a year (January Summer Holidays, Term 1 Holidays, Term 2 Holidays and Term 3 Holidays). The School Holiday Intensive Program produces significant results, regardless of the child's previous swimming abilities.
Squad training sessions continue throughout the year so please refer to our squad training schedule sent separately to all squad members.

4. Are all United Swimming teachers qualified?

Yes, all United Swimming teachers are fully qualified beyond the industry standard. United Swimming teachers and coaches complete an extensive in-house training program to teach with United Swimming teaching principles and guidelines. The United Swimming Teacher Training System ensures new teachers undergo 30+ hours of training, including class observation, online theory, supervised teaching and assessments before they get to teach their own classes. United Swimming teachers and coaches are all required to obtain a nationally recognised qualification issued by AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia prior to the beginning of their employment.

5. Should my child swim more than once a week?

Yes. An extra lesson each week accelerates learning and our experience is that children who swim more frequently progress faster through each level. During the school holidays we offer our holiday intensive program, where for a reduced fee your child can receive intensive swimming tuition each week day. Check with our management team about booking additional lessons or to find out more about the holiday intensive swim lessons.

6. Should I continue lessons during the Winter season?

Attending swimming lessons year-round should be a top priority for parents/guardians. Winter is a great time to keep your children active, healthy and building on their swimming skills. Our experience demonstrates that having a long break in lessons may result in a loss of the skills and consistent year-round practice is crucial to avoid regression. Our pools are maintained at a constant temperature, so even in the cooler months, it is still comfortable in the water for swimming lessons.

7. How do I pay for lessons?

All lessons at United Swimming for learn to swim and Squad (Fitness Pathway only) program are charged monthly on a direct debit system on the first day of each calendar month for that month's lessons. Please refer to our Learn to Swim and Squad Fees Schedule for more detailed information on fees and discount structure.
